Our Heritage
Since our founding in 1891, Bartlesville’s First Baptist Church has lived out the truth of our motto that First is Family. We have grown together through fires and floods, flu epidemics, tent revivals and building campaigns; keeping pace with the events that have shaped the city, the nation and the world around it. First Baptist Church has held strong during times of war, corporate downsizing and relocation, as well as social change. Thousands have worshipped and served God here at First Baptist Church.
For more than one hundred years, the First Baptist Church has lived the Great Commission. As a result, countless numbers of people have come to know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Standing on the shoulders of those who have gone before us, we continue to share the good news of God in Jesus Christ.
Over the course of our rich history, the people of First Baptist Church have responded as Family. Needs have been met, love has been shared and lives have been changed. Truly, FIRST IS FAMILY!
