Bible Study
Sunday Morning Bible Study
The Welcome Center is located in the foyer of the Worship Center and there are people there every week to help you find just the right Bible study class. Please let us help you find a place at First Baptist Church! You're sure to find a great small group Bible study where your heart will be challenged and encouraged every week.
We have three divisions in Adult Sunday School. This is to help you more readily decide where you may want to look for your class.
Young Adult Division
Young Singles – Open to singles of all ages with an emphasis on young career singles, this class meets in room 322 and is built around relationships. Their studies center on issues relevant to singles from a Biblical perspective.
Adult 20’s and 30’s – Adults 20’s meet in room 312 and Adult 30’s meet in room 310. This is a place for young adults to come and get to know one another, to pray for one another, encourage one another and relate God's Word to life's situations.
Adult 40’s – The people in this dynamic Sunday School class will embrace you and help you find true joy that comes only through spiritual growth in Jesus Christ. This class meets in our Fifth and Osage Building.
Deaf Ministry – This class currently meets on the west-end of the second floor foyer. Designed for the deaf or extremely hearing impaired, this class is taught through the use of sign language. Bible study materials designed especially for the deaf are used to maintain a focus on life experiences class members face in today’s world.
Median Adult Division
Adult 50’s – This department meets in the north end of the Fellowship Hall. They currently use "Explore the Bible" curriculum designed to offer a systematic and balanced study of every book of the Bible so the learner can discover and apply the whole counsel of God to his or her life needs.
Deaf Ministry – This class currently meets on the west-end of the second floor foyer. Designed for the deaf or extremely hearing impaired, this class is taught through the use of sign language. Bible study materials designed especially for the deaf are used to maintain a focus on life experiences class members face in today’s world.
Senior Adult Division
Men Discipling Men – This class currently meets in room 220A. It is a class of men encouraging each other to grow as disciples of our Lord. “Explore the Bible” is their curriculum and is designed to study all books of the Bible in a comprehensive, balanced and sequenced manner.
Women Discipling Women – This class for ladies currently meets in room 221. They are committed to encouraging each other in the discipleship habits that lead to spiritual maturity. They use the “Explore the Bible" curriculum to apply Scripture to the challenges of everyday living.
Singles 4 – This department currently meets in the Old Chapel and focuses on the needs of today’s senior single adult. “Explore the Bible” is used to comprehensively study each book of the Bible in a systematic and balanced fashion. The truths of God’s Word are learned and connected to the needs of the senior single in a knowledgeable and practical way.
Pre-Retired to Retired – This department currently meets in room 223. “Explore the Bible” curriculum offers a systematic and balanced study of every book of the Bible so the learner can discover and apply the whole counsel of God to his or her life needs. This department has separate classes for men, women and couples.
Fellowship Hall Seniors – This class currently meets in the south end of the Fellowship Hall. This is a large class of men and women using “Explore the Bible” as their curriculum in order to study each book of the Bible in a balanced and systematic way while applying its truth to the challenges they face in life.
Traditional Adult – This department currently meets in the Choir Suite. Separate classes for men and women are offered in the “Family Bible Study” series. This curriculum in designed to meet the Bible study needs of seniors 70 years and up. Bible exposition is used in a way that is meaningful and relevant to the distinct life needs of this group.
Old Auditorium Class – This is a class composed median and senior adults, but open to all ages. They currently use “Explore the Bible” curriculum to study God’s answers to the most common questions of life.
